Remember when the most stressful thing in your day was you couldn’t find your keys and you might be late for a meeting?

As your window of time decreased, maybe your agitation grew… exponentially.
And then your partner, in a calmer state of mind, pointed out that they were, very obviously, sitting right on the kitchen table.
Calm solved the problem.
Do you remember a time when you were so brokenhearted that you couldn’t take action to help yourself?
Maybe you didn’t shower that much.
Maybe you watched a LOT of TV… or maybe you stared at the wall.
Maybe you didn’t call friends and pushed them away, because you felt guilty leaning on them again.
Maybe you felt like you were stuck in a loop.
But thinking back to that time now…
You know that you began to move your body again, stimulate your mind, interact with others. Re-engage with life.
Regardless of the type of stress, all of our nervous systems react in the same ways. And so what you’ll learn in this course will apply to you, because you have a human nervous system. Whether your stress is lost keys or unemployment or a broken heart.
It’s up to us to learn to use our systems.
When you practice “regulating” your nervous system (becoming calm and engaged), it oozes through you, and other people can feel it. Their nervous systems are designed the same way, so even if they aren’t aware of it, even if they can’t put it into words, they like feeling your warm, solid steadiness.
You feel good to be around because you're in control.
When you can affect others like a thermostat, tuning yourself to calm and engaged, and others find themselves being more calm and engaged around you, you have become a Master Regulator.
Master Regulators are not perfect. But through plenty of practice, they have learned to master their nervous systems, so that most of the time, others ‘rest in the good’... in the warm, solid, cheerful reliability that radiates from them.

Under stress, we all need to keep simplicity paramount in our lives. We don’t need more information.
What we DO need is practice. So that the techniques become second nature to us. Automatic.
We feel stress >>> we stroke our chests and exhale with sound. Repeat.
The course is designed to create a structure for you for practice time. So the few, simple, core techniques will not slip away… but will instead become installed in our operating systems as automatic.

Yes, in class, you will learn more tips and tricks. Yes, you will spend more time with experts.

This is a 4 week practice course.
You can choose to attend calls once a week (for the 4 Call Option) or twice a week (for the 8 Call Option), based on your need for support and connection.
Yes. While these are predominantly practice sessions, both facilitators love to teach, so they will present new techniques and insights every class. Remember, though… a stressful time isn’t about learning new information; it’s about soothing ourselves with the repetition of what works on a 'creature comfort’, basic, nervous system level. Just practicing the techniques taught in the free webinar by yourself, or with friends and family, will be massively beneficial.
The first class on Thursday and the first class on Sunday (during the same first week) will each be one hour. So, if you only join us once a week (either Thursday or Sunday), only your first class will be one hour.
After that, each class will be 40 minutes. Long enough for you to luxuriously enjoy more than 30 minutes of relaxing practice time, and short enough to hopefully manageably budget into your busy week.
Yes, and emailed out to you after each class.
We know everyone is in different time zones, juggling a lot at home these days, and might need to listen to the recording daily! We want you to be able to regulate yourself with a recording whenever you need to, and can!

Because the Nervous System being calm and engaged is so fundamental to the full functioning of our brain/ planning/ empathy/ teamwork, we have a strong bias that everyone should have access to these ultimately basic tools.

You also won't see anything in future weeks, as those calls haven't happened yet.
